FRIENDS OF THE PINE BUSH COMMUNITY, INC is a new membership organization formed for the charitable and educational purposes of supporting the stewardship and educational goals of the Pine Bush Preserve and the Discovery Center. As a FRIEND of this unique community which is home to rare species of plants and animals:
You can attend exciting Friends sponsored programs at the Discovery Center and in the Preserve. Your dues fund projects such as, a Friends Speakers Club, teaching kits used by educators, and special topic displays and activities at the Discovery Center. You can even discover the satisfaction of doing hands-on habitat restoration work in the Preserve, or becoming a Discovery Center docent.
As a member you'll be supporting the Discovery Center where interactive exhibits, native plant & butterfly gardens, "Discovery Trail", classrooms, and gathering space for programs will teach the story of the Pine Bush through first-hand experience and discovery-based learning.
Your membership and participation in Friends activities can make a difference in furthering many conservation and education purposes in the Preserve.
